Falls Response Service

A fall at home can be a frightening experience, particularly for older adults who may be unable to get back onto their feet without assistance. Even when no serious injury has occurred, being left on the floor can be uncomfortable and distressing. At Falls First Response, we provide a reliable falls response service designed to help individuals safely recover after an uninjured fall in their own home. Our trained responder attends the property and provides professional assistance using specialist lifting equipment. Our aim is to ensure people receive help quickly, safely and with dignity.

When Our Falls Response Service Is Needed

Our service is designed for situations where someone has fallen but does not appear to have serious injuries.

The service may be used when:

  • A person has fallen at home

  • The individual cannot stand up independently

  • Manual lifting would be unsafe

  • Assistance is needed to return to a seated position

If there are any signs of injury or medical concerns, emergency services will always be contacted immediately.

Safe Fall Recovery with Specialist Equipment

To assist people safely after a fall, we use the Raizer lifting chair, a specialist device designed specifically for helping individuals who cannot get up from the floor.

The chair is carefully assembled around the person while they remain comfortably on the floor. Once assembled, the device gently lifts the individual into a seated position using a controlled motorised system.

This allows the person to be assisted safely without manual lifting, reducing the risk of injury for both the client and the responder.

When Our Falls Response Service Is Needed

Our falls response service is designed to provide fast and reliable assistance.

Step 5 – Further help if needed

If any injuries or medical concerns are identified, emergency services will be contacted.
